The *New Style* School Sweater

new style school sweaterThe *new* school sweater is knit in a very dark [nearly black], charcoal grey 100% wool.

It is a yarn with lots of character that creates the ideal background for the new, contrasting trim colors -imported yarns in 100% pure new wool.

The new "house" colors are darker and richer too...maroon and old gold, a dark ""forest" green with pewter grey, a dark "marine" blue with silver grey and old gold with black.

This new style school sweater is knit in a sports-weight yarn which will keep you warm and toasty. Wool is an incredible, natural fiber that holds its shape and color too.

If you are allergic to wool, consider having this new style sweater knit in a black acrylic yarn...or maybe a charcoal grey wool.

Please note that, by default, the new school sweater is knit in 100% wool, unless otherwise indicated in the "Optional Instructions" section of the shopping cart during the Paypal ordering process.

This is a traditional style of school uniform sweater. A Hobbie's original, it is designed as a solid colored, ribbed V-neckline pullover with boarding house colors along the bottom of the sweater body and the bottom of the sleeves - just above the ribbed bands.

The house stripe is knit in a light, dark, light sequence as opposed to the even, mini-stripes of the original school sweater. If you prefer the narrow, wide, narrow stripe sequence as seen in certain movie stills, please make note of this in the text box provided within the shopping cart. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the measurements or the fit of a specific sweater size or the current turn aroun time. The new style School Sweater is available in a wide range of standard sizes.

Individual sizes can be customized for a nearly perfect fit.
